Integrated Osteoporosis Management Strategy

An integrated osteoporosis management strategy should explicitly combine lifestyle, nutritional, hormonal, pharmacologic, and monitoring interventions within a unified, risk-stratified framework.

Weight-bearing and resistance exercise, balance training, and optimizing calcium, vitamin D, protein, magnesium, and other key nutrients remain foundational measures for all patients, regardless of pharmacologic choices.

Hormone therapy is considered for appropriate candidates and is layered with osteoporosis medications (bisphosphonates, denosumab, teriparatide, romosozumab) according to baseline fracture risk, treatment response, and comorbidities.
